The Routes

Bluesy, good old-fashioned rock n' roll. This is what has caused The Routes to become one of the most promising bands in the UK. After much hype and praise from media in their hometown, airplay on XFM Scotland, London, Manchester, Clyde 1 FM, and support slots with the likes of Orson, Deacon Blue, Amy Macdonald and The Bluetones, their brand of catchy, bluesy rock ‘n’ roll has seen the band, become one of the most exciting prospects of this year and beyond. The Scottish tunesmiths have drawn comparisons with The Rolling Stones, among others; however, they have a cocksure swagger and delivery that is entirely their own, which is currently converting all who care to listen. It remains to be seen if the band, who sound wise beyond their years, will indeed become one of the breakthrough acts of 2008, however surely much bigger things lie ahead in the not too distant future.
