Travega began to form in 2003 when Declan Davis and Andy Scott found Michael Staines in a bar in college. The 3 were the debris left by the split of their former bands. As they drank they found that each shared the others drive and passion for music. A 3 piece band formed in the wake of that night. A few months passed before they thought of expanding the band and with an offer of a support gig from their friend Daragh Hogan the trio now needed a bassist. Brian Pemberton, a school friend of Michaels, became the forth member of the band. The four piece would play many more gigs together before they met Moia Rowsome. Moia came to the band after the boys asked her to play at one of their gigs as a favour - a short while later she became the fifth member. The band was still incomplete and it was only when Daragh Hogan joined as the second guitarist that Travega became a full band. Now as a six piece Travega is a dynamic and carismatic ensamble which continues to exceed expectation.
