 Lucerne’s got just one bank HQ and that’s for the Kantonalbank. The only chemicals you’ll find are in the pharmacy. And ever since Napoleon named Lucerne the capital of Switzerland, much water has flowed under the bridge. In other words, Lucerne has not got a lot going for it — compared, say, to Zurich, Basel or Bern. Yes, it is a nice part of the world here, but otherwise? Well, otherwise, over the past few years, Lucerne has blossomed into Switzerland’s top address for rock music (except mundart rock aka dialect rock). At least, that is what the various branches of the media have been saying. Provincial rock apparently having more street-cred than metropolitan rock. And that, of course, only goes to increase the pressure of expectation on the biggest band on that much-praised scene.
